SBPN member Samer Kilani highlights the role of Syrian professionals in strengthening digital resilience.
In an article published by SBPN on 27 June 2025, cybersecurity specialist and network member Samer Kilani called for closer collaboration with Syrian professionals abroad to support the country’s digital future.
Drawing on an interview with the media platform +963, the report described concerns about outdated systems, fragmented security policy and gaps in protective measures. It highlighted the implications for personal information, public services and trust in digital systems.
Kilani advocated a coordinated national approach to cybersecurity, stronger professional standards and an effective response capability. He also emphasised the contribution that Syrian diaspora expertise could make to sustainable digital solutions.
